How to make your dog rap with AI
Upload one clear, front-facing photo of your dog to the Pet Rapper template, add its name and up to 3 habits, and the AI writes the rap and makes your dog perform it at a studio mic. A 15-second video is 15 credits.

What you end up with
A vertical video of your own dog, not a cartoon or a stock breed, rapping in a recording booth with small headphones, a gold chain and a microphone. Its mouth moves with the words and its head bobs on the beat. The lyrics are about your dog: its name, its habits and its crimes against your socks.

It works because a dog bragging is funnier than any joke about a dog. The template keeps the breed, the coat colour and the markings from your photo, so owners recognise their dog in the first second.
The steps
- Open the rap maker with Pet Rapper picked.
- Type your dog’s name and up to 3 habits: steals socks, barks at the mailman, naps in the laundry basket.
- Pick My pet as the occasion, or Birthday for a dog birthday. Choose a vibe and a beat.
- Read the lyrics. They are free, so change any line that is not quite your dog.
- Upload the photo and check the first frame, also free: your dog in headphones at the mic.
- Render the video and download the MP4. There is no watermark.
If the first frame does not look like your dog, try another photo before you render. A failed render refunds its credits on its own, but a bad photo still renders, so check the frame.
The photo that works
The lip-sync needs to see the mouth. Everything about the photo follows from that.
Do
Do
Avoid
Avoid- Face the camera, both eyes visible. A side profile has only half a mouth to animate.
- Mouth closed or slightly open. A tongue out is fine; a toy in the mouth is not.
- One animal per photo, filling a good part of the frame. Crop in if the dog is small.
- Daylight. Dark fur in a dark room loses the mouth, so shoot by a window.
- At least 512 pixels on the short side and under 10 MB. Any phone photo is fine.
The easiest way to get the shot: hold a treat just above the phone lens. The dog looks straight at the camera, ears up, mouth closed while it waits.
What to write about
Write it from the dog’s point of view, as a brag. Every dog has a few habits the whole family talks about; those are the lines. These are the first bars of the Biscuit sample:
| Habit | How it turns into a brag |
|---|---|
| Steals socks | A collector with a vault in the yard |
| Barks at the mailman | Runs security for the whole street |
| Begs at the table | Gets paid in bacon, never misses a meal |
| Hates the vacuum | Has one enemy and it lives in the closet |
| Sleeps all day | Works from home, the couch is the office |
| Head tilt | Undefeated, the face that wins every argument |
Specific beats general. "Chewed up the remote, now he’s running the show" is funnier than "he is a naughty dog", because everyone who knows him has seen it happen.
How close the video stays to the photo
These are frames from the Biscuit video, each captioned with the bar it was sung on. The golden coat and the face shape come from the photo; the headphones, chain and booth come from the template.
“Took your socks to the yard and he buried them deep”
“Ignores the mailman, then he barks in his sleep”
“Golden coat shining with a chain on his chest”Pick the vibe and beat for your dog
| Your dog is | Vibe | Beat |
|---|---|---|
| A chaos gremlin | Roast | Drill or trap |
| The good boy everyone loves | Hype | Boom-bap |
| Having a birthday | Hype | Trap |
| Old and gentle, or a memorial | Sweet | Lo-fi |
Boom-bap suits big, bouncy dogs; drill suits a small dog with a big attitude. Sweet on lo-fi is the one people send when a dog has passed: keep the lines about walks, the spot on the couch and the welcome at the door.
A dog birthday rap
Dog birthdays and adoption anniversaries are the most common reason people make a pet rap. Put the age in the first line and keep the brag going in the rest. Fill this in or let the generator write it:
Pick Birthday as the occasion so the lyrics wish the dog a happy birthday, and Hype on a trap beat. Send it in the family chat in the morning, then post it for everyone else.
Dogs that are harder to animate
- Very long fur over the mouth: brush it back or pick a photo after grooming, so the mouth is visible.
- Black dogs: shoot in daylight; in dim light the mouth and eyes can merge into one shape.
- Tongue out: fine, but a photo with the mouth closed or slightly open often lip-syncs more naturally.
- Puppies that will not sit still: take a burst while they watch a treat and pick the sharpest one.
- Two dogs in one photo: crop to one face. For two dogs, make two videos.
Check the free first frame before you render. If the face looks soft or the eyes look wrong, a different photo almost always fixes it.
